Elegant Bully :
We are a small kennel based out of Tallahassee, Florida.
Elegant Kennels is starting a new breed called Elegant Bully. An Elegant Bully has a unique temperment. They are their own breed and should not be cosidered a Pit Bull. All Elegant Bullies will be registered with Elegant Kennels as we have started our own registry for them called Elegant Kennel Club, if we get enough people interested we will also begin shows and will start awarding Championship titles to those dogs that show true to conformation and temperment. IF YOU HAVE A DOG THAT YOU THINK FITS THE DESCRIPTION OF AN ELEGANT BULLY CONTACT US... we will look at your dog and if it fits, we will register it as an Elegant Bully! Thats the beauty of starting our own breed, there is no proof of pureness B.S. to deal with.

Temperment- The temperment of the Elegant Bully is the most important part of the breed's conformation.
After all there is nothing Elegant about a dog that doesn't listen.
- Obedience and Training- The Elegant Bully should be VERY easy to train and training should begin at 4 weeks with basic training, sitting, walking on a leash, comming when called, laying, etc. By the time an Elegant Bully goes to a new home it should at least be used to working on training. When raised properly the Elegant Bully should be extremely obedient and should be able to go any where with its owner with out causing any problems or be irritating to the owner. Any registered Elegant Bully that is not well behaved may have his/her registration revoked!!!
- Personality- The Elegant Bully should be extremely close to its owner. They should not be highly accepting of new people, they normally will be very cautious of new people NOT AGGRESSIVE. Its owner should always feel safe when their Elegant Bully is with them, and confident that They (the owner) are in controll of the dog. Elegant Bully should only act this way on "their" territory, owners house, car, yard, they should be more willing to accept new people when they are in a public area, such as the dog park, on walks. Any registered Elegant Bully that is overly aggressive (not to be confused with protective) will loose his/her registration.
- Appearance-
The Elegant Bully has a very sleek and elegant build and look. Their height, strength, and color gives them have a very "elegant" appearance.
- Color- Body must be all white, the only color on the dog should be on its head (see example above) and may be at the base of the tail. The more unique the color the better, unique or new colors will be awarded extra points in shows. If there is color anywhere else on the dog, it shall be given limited registration as an Elegant Bully, and shall be disqualified in any shows.
- Structure- Main structural appearance should look similar to a real APBT, but should be a little taller for the same width. Head structure should be similar as well. Elegant Bullies should never be allowed to be over weight or excessively bulky, this is not elegant and is considered a fault.
- Ears- Ears must be cropped! Floppy ears are not elegant so if it is going to be registered as an Elegant Bully it must have its ears cropped. It is the same thing as boxers having their tails docked, standard for a pure bred. Any Elegant Bully that does not have it's ears cropped will be disqualified in any shows. Because it is a personal choice to have ears cropped, Elegant Bullies whose ears are not cropped can still be used in breeding stock, the pups ears would have to be cropped though.
- Nose- Only black noses are acceptable for this breed. Any non black nose dog will not be registered and will be disqualified if shown.
